What is Daggerfall? Daggerfall is a fantasy Role Playing Game (RPG) by Bethesda Softworks. It is the Second chapter in the Elder Scrolls series (the first being the Elder Scrolls, Arena). The 'plot' of the game is to find out why King Lysandus's ghost haunts Daggerfall City at night, and put his soul to rest. A 'lesser request' from the Emperor also sends you looking for a lost letter he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall. Magic of Daggerfall Many of the inhabitants of Tamriel have a natural tendency toward the arts of magic, and others are so intrigued by its powers that they spend years studying to learn its secrets and master its use. Only a fool would rely on their magica powers without knowing for sure how to use them. So regardless of your abilities, if you choose to create your own spells it would be wise to study the Schools of Magic, and find out what school the spells you'll be using belong too. The art of spell making is one which should be practiced and researched
in order to find the right combination for an individuals abilities. An
extremely powerful spell will be worthless to an initiate that lacks the
resources to cast it. Making spells of a less effective nature for practicing
the arts has helped many a mage to advance his standing in the local guild,
and has also allowed that advancement to move more swiftly.
Notice: Due to the fact that Daggerfall is now fairly outdated, and that I don't play it much anymore, I will not be updating these pages any longer (not that I got very far to begin with). I will, however, be keeping all of the info I collected for Daggerfall, including cheats, hints and walkthroughs. If anyone would like help with the game or would like more info on it, feel free to send me some e-mail with the request. I don't have any links to Daggerfall sites because most have been taken down. The information contained in these pages has been the product of my
personal experience with the game or from discussion with other players.
Anything which can be attributed to another Daggerfall site or individual
person's contribution will be so noted. All graphics taken from the
